Red Bull has confirmed significant changes for the 2026 F1 campaign, moving up French driver Isack Hadjar to its senior team and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his maiden F1 drive. Lindblad, who has a Swedish father and a mother of Indian descent, will be team-mate to New Zealander Liam Lawson at the second team Racing Bulls. This driver musical chairs means Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda losing his seat after five seasons. The New British Hope Arvid Lindblad drove first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix in the current season. The youngster was marked out as a prodigy by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Talking about the team's young driver programme, a senior Red Bull figure previously said that Lindblad "appears very talented", commending his "natural quickness". The team prepared a programme since last year to ready Lindblad for his likely Grand Prix bow in 2026, featuring runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City. Lindblad stated it was a "huge honour", adding: "2026 will be a massive test, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm prepared to collaborate with the team and meet the challenge. I can't wait to get started." He has won a couple of victories in F2 this year and is P6 in the standings ahead of the season finale in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman's Chance Isack Hadjar enjoys his first podium in F1, secured at the Dutch Grand Prix in August. Hadjar's F1 career began on a low note when he crashed on the formation lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has been one of the most impressive rookies of the year. His performances featured an remarkable podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies 10th in the drivers' standings. A senior team figure commented: "Hadjar has shown great maturity and demonstrated to be a fast adapter. Most importantly, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive alongside Max." Hadjar described it "a fantastic step" and said he felt "ready". Tsunoda's Exit For the seat at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson instead of Tsunoda. The New Zealander began the season with the main team but was demoted early in the year. He has settled back in at Racing Bulls with some strong performances, persuading Red Bull he merits another season. The Japanese driver, in contrast, loses his place after a disappointing season. His highest finish is a sixth place, and he has scored a small fraction of the team's points total. The driver market moves mean that there remains no spot on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
